Christmas Cheer 2013

Tom Brokaw – “It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference.”

Was fortunate enough to be involved as a volunteer this Christmas to celebrate “Christmas Cheer” involving two orphanage homes, organised by the student body: Community Service Initiatives (CSI). Basically, we invited a few orphanage homes to our university and celebrate Christmas with them by playing games, singing Christmas carols, providing dinner & supplying them with sweets and, of course, presents + goodie bags.

I have to say, they are the most friendly and rambunctious group I have ever met. The moment they got off the bus, they immediately attached themselves to us and did all the talking instead! I hope we managed to give them a good time to remember. Happy Holidays, everyone!
