Painting the horizon

“There’s doubt in trying. Just do it or stop thinking.” ― Toba Beta

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at acrylic painting, but the thought of my poor painting skills and the expensive equipment (canvases, paint brushes, paint,..etc…) always deterred me from carrying it out. It was when I stumbled upon a store which sold the equipment pretty cheaply and a DIY video I watched that truly inspired me to take up the hobby.

The tutorial is by the creative Anne Le (anneorshine). You may check it out yourself below:

My version

Of course, my painting is nowhere near as gorgeous as hers! However, I am proud nonetheless that I tried something new and didn’t totally fail. Also, it was really therapeutic (just what I needed after cracking my head with 3 major assignments!). Thus, I would like to strongly encourage you to try painting one day, whether it is to relax or to unleash your inner creativity. It’s really fun!

P.S: If you’re a beginner like me, you could check out some more of Ann Le’s other how-to paint videos here:  http://www.lifeannstyle.com/how-to-paint-w-acrylics-with-ann/

Thanks for reading! See you in the next post.
